Edited:  This was originally posted in June of 2016. I officially became a LuLaRoe consultant later that month and received my inventory on July 2.  With a good chunk of experience under my belt, these are the supplies I still recommend.

Welcome to Shrinking Momster! I'm so glad you're here!

Welcome!!!  I’m happy you’re here!

I’m about to become a LuLaRoe consultant and I’m guessing you’re here because you’re thinking about it, too!  To say I’m excited for this new adventure is a huge understatement.  I’ve been in the “queue” (waiting list) for over two months now.  I’ve spent my time researching best practices for running my new business and purchasing start up supplies.

The LuLaRoe clothes will be the focus, of course, but there are still plenty of items helpful for successfully launching this home business.  I’ve spent hours comparing and researching options for every item from hangers to shipping envelopes.

I am currently in the Queue, not so patiently waiting, I am wondering why you chose that particular label printer instead of something like this…

    https://www.amazon.com/DYMO-Writer-printer-Labels-1752266/dp/B0027J9KH6/ref=sr_1_4?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1468450639&sr=1-4&keywords=DYMO+LabelWriter+Thermal+Label+Printer

I have been thinking a lot about the Mail aspect of LLR.

    Thank you for you help

I went with the 4XL because it prints the postage, address and return all on one label. Easy peasy.

      Hello,
My name is Jocelyn and I have been seriously thinking about becoming a LulaRoe consultant. I want to do well and help women be comfortable in their bodies. I want to make sure I have all of the supplies I need. I appreciate this list. If you have any other recommendations for starting out it would be so helpful. Thank you.

This is great! I onboarded on June 16th, doing great, but I am always looking for more tips and suggestions.
I found an awesome garment rack. Once you initially put it together, you never have to take it apart. It is collapsible. It has double rods that hold up to 66lbs each, and believe me I push it!
I don’t have the link but I did get them from Amazon. It is called, SONGMICS Double Rod Adjustable Garment Rack. Collapsible & Portable. Amazon item # ULLR501W
Good luck with everything, my LuLa Sister

I’m thinking about signing up as a consultant and I really appreciate this list. Are there any additions or substitutions you would include now as you look back? Are you still glad that you decided to sell? I’d love to have your feedback. Thanks!

Hey Janet! I’m still happy I did it, but am making some adjustments for the new year. I’ll do an update post soon. Being better organized is a big one! I wish I would have taken things slower. I’d love to chat more. Shoot me an email! Would love to have you join my team! lularoerachaelmoshman@gmail.com

What a thorough list! One question: do you use a scale to determine weight for shipping? Or does the company provide all that information?

Great question! I already had a shipping scale, so I forgot to put it on the list. I’ll add it. Yes, you’ll need one. The shipping companies (Stamps.com, Shipping Easy, etc.) sometimes give one free when you sign up.

What an incredible list! Found you through Pinterest. Thinking about joining – still early stages. What do you mean you’d wish our started slower? If you haven’t posted yet about it I can wait! Thanks for your post!

I started off working extremely long hours and with a huge inventory. It was a pace I couldn’t maintain longterm and keep my sanity. Slow and steady is better!

Is it really %5,000 to start…..any smaller dollar amt. for a possible smaller start?

They frequently change the onboarding package, but that is the average cost for your initial inventory.

When do you have to pay? When you sign the papers or when they call you?

I am in the Queue and waiting (omg I’m so bad at waiting) for my phone call. What are your thoughts for who to help with mailing. I know USPS and Shipping Easy offer services.

Also, what are the pros and cons for Roe With Me and Shop the Roe links? As a buyer, I love them.

I suggest a pack of multi-colored hair ties, so you can show right there at pop -ups how versatile the clothes are.

Also, I suggest getting a prime membership. The free two-day shipping is a Godsend.
