Have ya’ll seen how fabulous plus size bikinis are this year? AMAZING!!!
Yes, I wear two piece bathing suits.
Yes, I’m closer to 300 pounds than I am to 200. Much closer.
Yes, I’m nearly 40. (38 if you really want to know.)
Yes, I’m mom to a teenager.
No, I don’t think I’m “too big” to wear a two piece.
No, I don’t care that you think I’m “too big.”
(Okay, that’s kind of a lie. Being judged stings and no one likes having mean comments hurled at them. But I’m working on not caring what others think.)
I have a beach body now.
I have a summer body now.
My body is ready for the pool now.
And so is yours.
Yes, RIGHT NOW.
Here’s why I love 2 piece bathing suits:
- They are easy to throw on.
- They can be mixed and matched.
- They make me feel sassy and confident.
- They’re comfortable.
- They make potty breaks and changing super easy.
- The sun and water feel so good on my skin!
This is my first summer as a pool owner. I’m in a bathing suit nearly every day and hate putting on a damp one, so I decided to treat myself to some new plus size bikinis this summer. Here are some of my favorite finds!
Must have plus size bikinis:
Papaya High Waisted Fringe Bikini: We recently vacationed with another family on the beach. My mom friend was rocking an amazing lime green high wasted bathing suit. I had to know where she got it. “Amazon,” was her answer. When I saw it came in hot pink, I jumped on it!
The cover up is the LuLaRoe Monroe kimono.
And doesn’t everyone hang with an inflatable unicorn poolside?
High Waisted Tribal Bikini: This is my daughter’s favorite. She’s away at camp, so I sent her this photo. She wrote back, “Wow, Mom! You look amazing!” Love that kid!
This cover up is the LuLaRoe Lindsay kimono.
MORE plus size biknis!
Tell that voice inside your head to cut the crap. You are sexy. You are beautiful. Get yourself a plus size bikini because wearing one feels good. Be free. Enjoy the summer. And wear sunscreen.
By the way, I did wind up with a one piece pinup style bathing suit. It was too cute not to get!
The cover up is a LuLaRoe Irma tunic with the sleeves tied in front.
