I have issued myself a blogging challenge. I’m going to write here at Rambling Rach every single day in October. 31 consecutive days of posts. Whew! For someone who has only written a couple of posts this whole year, that’s a big commitment!
October blogging challenge
I used to blog every day. For years. Years!
Raise a hand if you were around in the Last Mom days. (Or better yet, share this post!)
I wrote about parenting, adoption, attachment, and trauma. My daughter got older and I eventually shifted to writing about my journey to find my own footing beyond marriage, motherhood, and divorce.
I love blogging. But I haven’t been consistent with it in a really long time.
Coming back to myself
I’ve been through a lot of really hard self-realizations, learning, growing, and healing in the last couple of years. 2021 was brutal. I finally feel like I’m on the other side of the pain I thought would crush me. A new version of Rach has been birthed and I’m getting to know myself. And I want you to know this version of me, too!
What am I going to talk about?
I’m thinking I’ll do a schedule. For example, Mondays will be about emotional health. Tuesdays will be a recipe or food review. Wednesdays will be about fashion and loving yourself. Etc. I’m still working all of that out.
Blogging challenge rules
Well, since I’ve issued the blogging challenge to myself, I get to make the rules! I want this month to be something I enjoy and a way to get my creative juices flowing while I process this new chapter of life. So the only rule is going to be to post something before I go to bed each day. It’s after midnight right now, but I haven’t gone to bed yet, so it totally counts! Plus, I started writing before midnight!
How to help
You can help me! Here are some ways to support me:
- Purchase one of my guided emotional support journals. Tell your friends, family, delivery drivers, dog walker, coworkers, grocery store clerk, etc. about them.
- Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Tiktok.
- Let me know if you have questions you’d like me to answer, stories to tell, or topics to dive into.
